This unique gathering table would be a great addition to a man cave, bar or other suitable location. The striking spalted maple top offers double live edges and stunning grain patterns. Cracks and knots were filled with clear epoxy. The spalting of the wood provides an array or colors and contrast that make it a very unique piece. The base is constructed of western red cedar and the supports are massive 6″ x 6″ posts. The top and legs are connected by a significant 3-1/2″ square mortise and tenon joint. The overall height of just under 43 inches is perfect for a lively conversation over a malted beverage or cocktail. The painted black pipe supports offer a great place to naturally rest a foot. The overall size of this table is 77″ long x 42-3/4″ tall. The slab varies from 16″ to 22″ in width and is over 2-1/2″ thick. This is a bold table for a bold statement. Note: since the original photos were taken, I have since added a dimmable Edison bulb using black pipe as shown in the last photo.
